ok. maybe not every single photo. i have a good friend who personally has 74,000+ photos on her iPhone; so needless to say there isn't space on the planet for every single photo ever taken. but it's safe to say you SHOULD print your favorite photos. those moments in time are best remembered by you looking at the print and remembering the emotions and other elements of the moment. it's not lost forever! it's in your hands. please read this infographic to learn more about why you want prints (not digitals) from your photographer.

There is something special about seeing people in love. You don't have to think too much about it. You just know that they are in LOVE and having a special time in their lives. We never know what the future will hold but we always hope for all the best things for new couples embarking on the rest of their lives together. What can I say? I'm sucker for this stuff. So, all I can wish for is lots of opportunities, great adventures together, less debt and more time and lots and lots of babies (if that's what they want, of course). I am biased about babies. I am a baby photographer!
Best wishes to this beautiful couple and their sweet families.
What can I say? It isn't something most people get excited about. Classes. Training. Taking notes. Listening to people talk all day. But if these things are going to make you more successful and make you motivated and inspired... then it's worth the personal investment!
I will never understand why someone wouldn't want training. Especially if your company or boss is willing to pay for it! Then why not? It's only going to make you better at what you do do.
That's my whole reason for spending the time, money and lots of energy going to something like this. This isn't just a conference. It's not just a tradeshow. It's an opportunity to see what is making people really happy; what are people connecting with? How do we know? What will make your customer feel special? How can I make sure they are getting the best products and the best prices? How can I make sure I'm delivering what's trending and important to the SENIORS, and those in-be-TWEENS, parents of NEWBORNS and the BRIDES and GROOMS planning their most important day... their WEDDING! I'm not just investing in my customer. I'm investing in me. Because it's me that my customer comes to see. I'm the one that wants to make them feel 'wow'd' with their new images and gorgeous albums. I'm the one who they will come back to again and again. And I'm the one who gets the privilege to watch their family grow.
All of that is totally worth my investments.
Is professional photography worth the investment to you?

Had a great opportunity to shoot a fantastic and inspiring woman for this month's issue of PROFILES IN DIVERSITY JOURNAL. It is one thing to get to photograph for a magazine but entirely another to get to meet someone who is making a difference in the life of others and is a role model for woman and girls alike. Way to go Deborah Roberts!
It's got to be the best life ever. Sleeping. Eating. Lots of love and kisses. Sounds pretty good right?
Right after Baby comes into the world, your world, ends up more than a little turned up-side-down.
But this is the best time to get those precious moments captured forever. They grow up way too quickly and soon these precious first weeks will be just a memory.
Don't worry about how the house looks and whether you had time to do laundry! If you book a newborn session with us we can come to your home, where you and baby are comfy and happy, to take an hour to get some great shots for an album, wall canvas or gallery wrap grouping for your home. Maybe even some prints or albums for the grandparents too!
Let us make it easy for you! Give us a call and we can make some precious moments of you and your little one.
It's the most common complaint I hear from parents today. They want the up-to-date images of their family but they can't seem to make the time and find everyone together and on the same page. It can be challenging with our schedules today but we can make a family photo session possible.
We recently had an opportunity to help a family that has had it's oldest boys leave home to pursue their dreams. Alas, mom was distressed that they didn't have recent pictures of the whole gang. She mentioned that the boys would be home for a couple of days for a very brief visit but that she wished they had more time together to get around to doing family portraits.
We told her to keep us posted on their exact travel dates and to pick an evening when they would all be going out to dinner together. We showed up, equipment in hand, and took a variety of outdoor family photos prior to their dinner engagement! Everyone was happy and the timing couldn't have been been better. With the family happily reunited and focused on getting to dinner we made efficient use of their time and got mom what she wanted. With the boys away again, the entire family now has recent photos to enjoy and to share with new friends.
Head shots can say a lot about you. But are you worried about what people will think or are you excited about what they might think.? That brings me to this character.
What a pleasure it was to work with a client that is fearless and excited about doing head shots that will make the onlooker say, "hey now, wait a minute". We had a lot of fun making quirky, creative looks to make him stand out in an arena where he doesn't want to look like everyone else.
You may be interested in changing your look or just updating your social profiles. Don't be shy! And definitely don't be afraid to ask your photographer for feedback on what you are portraying and how your images are coming across. If you photographer doesn't have any feedback or doesn't have ideas then maybe you need a different kind of photographer. Find someone who will work with your ideas and who is a creative themselves; full of energy and ideas to move you forward. Have fun and all the best!
